Habit & Growth rate: Moderate to fast growth rate. The Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa has a rounded canopy.

Foliage: Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa display spear shaped, olive, grey - green leaves when mature. When juvenile, the Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa exhibit opposite heart-shaped to lanceolate-ovate leaves sometimes joined at the stem. They have cream, pink or red pendulous flowers that grow in clusters of 3 that bud in late winter - spring and are bird attracting.

Comments:

The most commonly grown yellow gum. The Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa is distributed in South Australia and Victoria. They are a drought tolerant tree that are adaptable to a wide range of climate conditions and soils. They prefer well drained soils and full sun exposure. Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa are a good tree to use in parks and gardens, offering shade and welcoming birds due to its attractive flower.
