Habit & Growth rate: Corymbia eximia, the Yellow Bloodwood, is known to succeed on poor, gravelly or sandy soils and over the last few years in Melbourne continued has shown signs of healthy growth during long periods of drought.

Mt William Advanced Tree Nursery is currently growing Corymbia eximia ‘nana’ - a dwarf form of Corymbia eximia. which in Melbourne's climate usually grows to around 8 metres. This makes it suitable for areas where there may be height or space restrictions.

Foliage: Corymbia eximia nana (Yellow bloodwood) features massive heads of cream/yellow flowers displayed above the foliage for a very short time in spring. The leaves are shaped like large sickles and can very in colouration from glaucous to grey-green, to dark green.

This Corymbia eximia from the more temperate areas of Australia (Central NSW and QLD) can be affected by the cold and frost in Victoria. When the warm weather returns, the discolouration in the foliage soon disappears.
