Habit & Growth rate: Upright in growth, considered slow growers. Responds well to pruning, can be grown with a single leader or easily pruned into a hedge for screening.

Foliage: Evergreen tree with silvery green leaves compared to the darker olive colour of other species.

Comments:

Excellent evergreen tree that is mainly fruitless at times has been reported to produce small amounts of fruit. Ideal for street tree planting, or in the landscape without the problems of fruit dropping on vehicles or pathways.

Olives are ideally suited to the urban environment they are long lived, small in stature, and are easily pruned. Will tolerate most soil profiles and long periods of dryness. Not suited to heavily compacted soils or water logging.
